A branch holds cash, records and other people's valuables
A bank branch is one of the few buildings where everything of value is concentrated behind a handful of doors. Cash sits in the teller line and the vault. Customers' belongings sit in safety deposit boxes. A drive-up lane puts a teller and a drawer within reach of a car at the curb, and an ATM holds its own supply of currency. Each of those points is a place where the security has to work every day, not just on the day something goes wrong.
The exposure is also in the routines. Cash moves from the vault to the drawer, the drawer to the drive-up window and the ATM, and each hand-off is a moment where a lapse can cost money or put an employee at risk. A good security plan covers the equipment and the daily handling that surrounds it.
Certified Alarm is a family-owned company on North Jackson Highway in Sheffield, and banks and financial institutions are one of the six kinds of work we do, alongside fire alarm, intrusion, cameras, access control and personal safety systems.
Consulting, design and installation for the whole branch
Our financial institution work covers electronic security services, vault doors, safety deposit boxes and drive-up teller equipment, and the cash handling and ATM replenishment that go with them. We start with a free in-person consultation at the branch, or a video call by Zoom, FaceTime or Google Meet to bring in a head office or a security officer who cannot be there.
From there we design around how the branch really operates: where the teller line sits, how the lane approaches the drive-up window, where staff go at opening and closing. We are certified installation experts for Bosch Integrated Security Systems, which lets intrusion, access, video and fire work together under one platform rather than as separate boxes that never talk to each other.
Installation is handled by our own crew with UL-listed systems and equipment, and our NICET-certified fire alarm team covers the life safety side of the building. We hold Alabama licence ABES-066 and Tennessee licence C0556, so the same shop can serve branches on both sides of the state line.
After install: monitoring, service and a steady relationship
A vault door or a teller drawer is not something you want to wait on when it misbehaves. Our central station alarm monitoring is UL-listed and runs around the clock over NetCom with cellular backup and Halo wireless communications, and emergency service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Service and maintenance continue after the install. Inspections, adjustments and equipment changes are handled by the people who know the building, which matters when a branch remodels, adds a lane or changes how it handles cash. Equipment across the system comes from brands such as Bosch, Honeywell and Pelco.
Certified Alarm has been installing and servicing security systems out of Sheffield since 1960. To set up a consultation, call (256) 406-2039, or reach us at (256) 383-1225.
